How does the FSEF benefit students?
The Foundation supports student programs, project and initiatives that do not receive tax-based funding. It also promotes and recognizes academic excellence by students and innovative instruction by teachers and staff.
How does the FSEF benefit the community?
A community is more attractive to business because of effective, strongly supported public schools. The Foundation expresses that support. It also builds bridges between schools and the community, between current leader and the leaders of tomorrow.
How will the FSEF money be spent and who will decide?
The programs supported by the FSEF vary from year to year, based on priorities established by the Foundation board. We gather input from the Finneytown Board of Education, staff, and community members.
We already pay taxes. Why should we donate to the FSEF?
Tax dollars support mandated education. Foundation funding enhances the educational system, making it possible to offer Finneytown students the highest educational opportunities and experiences.
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Yes, the Finneytown Schools Educational Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Donors will receive a tax receipt for their contributions.
